Welcome to Okage Yashiki Okage Yashiki at Okage Yokocho is an interactive museum where visitors can experience and enjoy things connected to Ise and aspects of Japanese daily life. Oise Mairi saw repeated surges in popularity during the Edo period, and this movement was called Okage Mairi. The word okage comes from the idea of "being able to visit Ise thanks to someone or something," and it is a very important word to us at Okage Yokocho. Inside this mansion, small spirits of gratitude we are not so conscious of in our everyday lives come to life to welcome visitors.
